James Nathan "Nate" Dennis, passed away at age 75 on February 2, 2014 in Bridgeport Hospital. Nate, an East Ender and Harding High grad, was the New England 440/Quarter Mile Champion (a then record time of 49.9seconds) in 1957. He was also a star End on the undefeated Harding Football team of 1957, as well as the starting Center on the basketball team which finished 3rd in the State. "Nate" went on to star in track and basketball at San Jose City College, San Jose, CA.
