Elizabeth (Shanley) Swanson

Elizabeth (Shanley) Swanson, age 64, of Ansonia, beloved wife of Edward Swanson, died Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at Griffin Hospital. She was born in Bridgeport to John and Ruth Kerstetter Shanley. Mrs. Swanson was a life long area resident moving to Ansonia 11 years ago. She retired from the American Frozen Food Company five years ago, working in the payroll department. Survivors in addition to her husband, include one son, Edward Swanson and his wife, Marion, of Shelton; two daughters, Cheryl Boland and her husband, Mark, of Ansonia and Ruth Quinones and her husband, Hector, of Ansonia; her mother, Ruth Shanley of Ansonia; two sisters, Catherine Herthum and her husband, John, of Alabama and Jacqueline Dunleavey and her husband, John, of Oxford; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Swanson, Chuli and Faith Quinones, Jessica, James and Jack Boland and Connor Swanson; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her father, John Shanley. Entombment will be in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
