Carol J. (Murray) Stannard, age 64 of Shelton, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the beloved wife of 39 years to Loring William Stannard. Mrs. Stannard was born in Wilks-Barre, Pa., daughter of the late Howard and Jean Transue Murray and was a Shelton resident since 1969. She was the loving mother of Jennifer Jean Stannard, Jacqueline Karen Nelson and her husband, Scott and Sherry S. Coulombe and her husband, Don; sister-in-law of George Hamilia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and her beloved Bishon MLLE Puffnutter. Mrs. Stannard was predeceased by her sisters, Jean Adams and Patricia Hamilia. Her funeral services are private. The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double beach Road, Branford CT 06405 or the American Cancer Society, 127 Washington Ave., North Haven, CT 06473.
