Dawn Marie (McLean) Ackley, age 59, a lifetime resident of Bridgeport, passed away
on Monday, December 19, 2005, at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late
Arthur A. Ackley. She was born on November 11, 1946, to the late Martin and
Mildred McLean. She was a legal secretary with the Probate Court of Bridgeport
and the former proprietor of the Brothers Deli of Fairfield. Dawn is survived by
daughter, Melissa Borunda and her husband, Nathaniel and grandson, Elijah, of
Bridgeport; daughter, Shannon Ackley and her husband, Kevin Kirwan and
granddaughter, Jocelyn, of Shelton; son, Daniel Ackley and his wife, Adrianne
and grandchildren, Laney, Marly and Jake of Milford; and daughter, Jennifer Bull
and her husband, Michael Simon and grandsons, Tyler and Matthew of Milford; one
brother, Scott McLean and his wife, Dorothy, of Stratford; three sisters, Paddy
Geotsa of Bridgeport, Maureen Kendrick and her husband, Richard, of Stratford
and Tish Krzyzek and her husband, John, also of Stratford; and a plethora of
nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Gail McLean. Friends are
invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at 10 a.m. DIRECTLY
at St. Andrew Church with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private.
Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155
Main Street, Stratford. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate
contributions in Dawn's memory to either St. Jude's Children's Research
Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN or a charity of one's choice.
