Linwood White of Bridgeport entered into eternal rest on Saturday October 23, 2004. He was born in Vidalia, Ga., on December 28,1941. He was the son of David White and the late Johnnie Bell Moales. He graduated from Harding High School in 1960, where he excelled in the Basketball program. Linwood was a retired Computer Technician, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a truck driver for many years for such companies as McLeans and Country Home Bakery. He later quit driving trucks, he went back to school and graduated from Connecticut School of Electronics. He loved music (Jazz), sports, computers, tag sales, flea markets, and was a talented "Handy Man." Linwood was quite simply an angel walking this earth. A kind, generous, compassionate, honest soul that would do anything for anyone. He loved animals and along with his loving wife "Tina" rescued and came to the defense of many throughout his years here in Fairfield County. We will miss his hearty laugh, brilliant smile, wonderful personality, unique style and his uncanny ability to make everyone he came in contact with feel at ease - no matter who they were. Linwood was a devoted and loving husband, an exceptional father, devoted brother and loyal friend. If you knew Linwood you were fortunate because he left an endearing mark on us all. He simply gave from his big heart and his pure unselfish acts of kindness were so much a part of who he truly was, one of a kind. A remarkable man that will be missed by his family, friends and lastly by his devoted cats and dogs who loved him so very much.
