Dominic Anthony Caramanica, age 65, of Milford, a retired
employee and former shop steward of Carpenter Steel, died suddenly on Friday,
July 14, 2006 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in New York City on August 7, 1940,
he was a son of Jean Freni Caramanica of Stratford and the late Pasquale
Caramanica. He grew up in Bridgeport, graduating from Warren Harding High
School and was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran. In addition to his mother, survivors
include his loving wife of 42 years, Diane Bocchino Caramanica; three sons,
Anthony Caramanica, Michael Caramanica and Patsy Caramanica, all of Milford;
beloved granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Caramanica; a sister, Dolly Peters and her
husband, Richard; a brother, Richard Caramanica; mother-in-law, Helen Bocchino;
sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Elaine and John Lynch; brother-in-law, Robert
Bocchino; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother,
Peter Caramanica. Interment with military honors in King's Highway Cemetery,
Milford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an education
fund for the benefit of Jessica Caramanica.
