Darlene A. (Shackleton) Wilson, age 63 of Fairfield, beloved wife of Peter M. Wilson, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Harold and Loretta (Kiernan) Shackleton, she had been a Fairfield resident since 1971. Darlene was a retired administrative assistant with 35 years of service for the Southern Connecticut Gas Company. She was a parishioner for more than 36 years at Our Lady of the Assumption Church where she belonged to the Ladies Guild. Survivors in addition to her husband, Peter, include a sister, Barbara Wagner and her husband, Donald, of Milford and Sandy Hook; a niece, Laurie DiNallo and her husband, Michael, of Newtown; a nephew, Mark Wagner of Sandy Hook; one grand-niece; and three grand-nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 9 a.m. meeting directly in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call on Friday, September 7, 2007 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield.
