Raymond Victor Ziko, age 81, of Trumbull, died on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 in Maefair Health Care Center. Born in Kingston Pa., on February 7, 1929, he was the son of the late Victor and Alice Ziko. Raymond was a retired teacher from the Trumbull School System, where he taught at Hillcrest Middle School. He had previously taught at Warren Harding High School and also at Sacred Heart University. Mr. Ziko was an avid tennis player who enjoyed a good doubles match. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed. Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years Nadia Frassinelli Ziko, four children, Christopher Ziko of Huntington, David Ziko of Stratford, Bonnie Jean Ziko of Shelton and Michael Ziko of Stratford, two grandchildren Victoria and Gregory as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Louise Brown and Barbara Warren. Funeral services took place on Friday February 19, 2010 at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment followed in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to the Ella T.
