Laura Lee Kaminski, age 76 of Ocala, Fla., passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at her residence. She was born in Bridgeport on September 16, 1930. Ms. Kaminski resided in Ocala for the past 15 years. She was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School in Fairfield and Bullard Havens Vocational Technical School, Bridgeport. She attended and graduated from the University of Bridgeport, receiving a bachelors degree, masters degree and sixth year certificate. Ms. Kaminski was employed by the State of Connecticut, Education Department for 32 years. She was an instructor for fashion design, history, economics, math, driver education and audio-visual. She was the first female director of a regional vocational technical high school. Mrs. Kaminski was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala. Her hobbies included music, clock collecting, and driving cars. She is survived by her sister, Jean Kaminski of Ocala; Aunt Mary Domeracki of Bridgeport; niece, Barbara and Frank Szabo of Southbury; niece, Susan and Jim Horvath of West Redding; niece, Beverly Bielski of Altamonte Springs, FL; nephew, Richard and Sue Kaminski of Oxford; nephew, James Bielski of North Carolina; great-niece, Sarah Kaminski of Naugatuck; great-niece, Stephanie Szabo of Southbury; great-niece, Jacquelyn Szabo of Wayland, Mass; great-nephew, Aaron Kaminski of Providence, R.I.; great-nephew, Jonathan Bielski of Orlando, Fla.; great-nephew, Nicholas Bielski of Greer, S.C.; great-nephews, Scott Horvath and Andrew Horvath of West Redding; great-grand-nephews, Robert James Bielski and Andrew Vance Bielski; cousins, Freida Redmond of Brandenton, Fla., Daniel Domeracki of Trumbull, Pat and Carl Babski of Ocala, Fla. and John Domeracki of Shelton. She will also be missed by Eddie, her Chihuahua. Visitation for Ms. Kaminski will be Tuesday, August 28 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services-Timber Ridge, Ocala, Fla. from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Ocala, Fla. Interment will take place in Highland Memorial Park, Ocala, Fla.
