Helen Holdsworth Masterberti of Stratford, a 
retired school teacher for the City of Bridgeport, died Thursday,
November 2, 2000, at Lord Chamberlain Convalescent Center, Stratford.
Born in Stratford, Mrs. Masterberti was an area resident all of her
life. She was the widow of Frank J. Masterberti. Mrs. Masterberti was a
graduate of Southern Connecticut State University and taught at Hall
School in Bridgeport for 35 years. She was a member of the National
Retired Teachers Association, the Association of Retired Teachers of
Connecticut, the Greater Bridgeport Retired Teachers Association and was
active in the craft group at the Baldwin Center, Stratford. Survivors
include a sister, Viola Brennan and her husband, Charles, of Stratford;
and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Masterberti was predeceased by a
brother, Earl Holdsworth. Funeral services will be held on Monday,
November 6, 2000, at 11 a.m. in the Spear, Dennis & D`Arcy Funeral Home,
2611 Main Street, Stratford, with the Rev. Stuart L. Baker officiating.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on
Sunday, November 5, 2000, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the funeral home. The
family prefers in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the
